Exhibition Coming in 2025!

Paseo FEAST Grant Winner:

Amber Andersen

“The Grand Unseen” by Artist Amber Andersen is designed to transport visitors into the world of insects and small critters, in an immersive bug’s eye view scaled larger than life. Set to debut at the Josie Adams Cultural Center in Woodward, Oklahoma, this exhibit will serve a rural region of towns and public schools.    This installation will be a transformative experience, engaging visitors with diorama-like spaces separated by layered paintings. The paintings will be constructed of cut-out aluminum composite panels hand painted to represent distinct natural environments.

Each space will feature large immersive 3-dimensional sculptures of insects, plants and mushrooms, all hand carved from foam, plaster, and hand painted. As visitors walk through the exhibit, projection and auditory elements will weave together narratives and fun facts, enriching visitors' understanding of the fascinating ecosystems around us.

This exhibition will kick off with a grand opening on opening night, and throughout the duration of its display will feature both meet the artist and artist Q & A events. Additionally there will be a merchandise and gift shop area. This will give visitors the opportunity to bring part of this transformative experience home with them.

Your donation today will help offset costs for materials, artist fees, and marketing expenses.
